Boots & Coots International Well Control, Inc..

Boots is the firm tasked with plugging the blown out well in Leroy Twp., Bradford County.  In 2010, they merged with . . . Halliburton.

As the government continues to shrink and corporations begin to expand, its only natural that even corporations with as checkered a past as Halliburton be welcomed into the Rust Belt with open arms.

“Few things in life are more important then clean water and few responsibilities of the federal government are more important than protecting clean water. We hear of contamination, but the EPA is powerless because of the Republican Congress and Dick Cheney’s loophole,” said (Senator Frank) Lautenberg.

Remember the secret Bush-Cheney energy hearings?  They exempted fracking from the Safe Drinking Water Act.  They did so based on perpetuating the LIE that the fluids pumped into the ground STAY THERE. The Halliburton loophole can be closed by passing the FRAC Act.

You can understand how people can have various opinions on certain environmental consequences, but safe drinking water?  Really?
