Real Costs

Clean water is being removed from our streams, rivers, and aquifers.  It does not return.  The water is returned to the environment in a compound no longer useable by people or the environment.  It can only be absorbed and its impacts managed.  Meanwhile, profits of gas companies soar and private landowners become millionaires.

Why is it so radical to suggest that before these riches are distributed, that the true impacts of the extraction and distribution process be mitigated?
